La Bogevane - Hike and walk

The Bogévane is a walk on marked paths, organised by the ‘Détours et Contours en Vallée Verte’ association, open to everyone, including people in joëlettes (hiking wheelchairs).

There are 3 routes with delayed starts: - Surprise route N°0: 14.5 km, 590 m ascent, duration 3h45, departure 8h30. A refreshment point is provided halfway along the route. Orange signs. - Route No. 4: 8.200 km, 285 m ascent, duration 2hrs 30mins, start at 9.10am and 9.20am in the Botanique group. - Route N° 8 5.00 km, 95 m ascent, duration 1h 25, departure 10 h. : For route N°4 and N°8 follow DCVV signs, wooden panels, yellow markings. The start and finish of the 3 routes are in front of the ‘La Stéphanoise’ hall in Bogève. The routes take hilly paths and tracks that are never very difficult and offer magnificent views. Estimated times are based on between 3.5 and 4 km/h. Participants are asked not to deviate from the marked routes and to respect the safety instructions of the Highway Code during short passages on tarmac roads and public highways. The paths may border or cross agricultural plots; participants are asked to respect these and to close the barriers or hang up the wire handles properly after passing through. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The ‘’Chasse aux Cailloux‘’ (peeble hunt) game will give you the chance to win tickets to the ‘’La Trace‘’ cinema (see the rules of the game in the regulations available on the association's website) and a presentation on plants for children only on the 5 km route. The ‘Botany’ trail offers an opportunity to discover and discuss mountain flora with a botanist who will accompany the group (30 people max.). We recommend good walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a mobile phone, a bottle of water and a snack. Each walker takes part in the event at his or her own risk. For safety and wildlife protection reasons, dogs must be kept on a lead on the routes. PLEASE NOTE that payment on site must be made in cash or by cheque. Possibility of online payment on Hello Asso via the booking link. Due to a limited number of places (30 max) for the ‘floral discovery’ course, payments by cheque must be made before 20 May 2025 to the following address: DCVV 850 route des Chaix 74250 Bogève. Each participant must register the organisation's mobile phone number and wear a wristband issued by the organiser. Maps of the routes will be available to download from the association's website. Unaccompanied children under the age of 18 must show parental authorisation, and those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. REFRESHMENTS : A buffet will be offered at the finish. There will be a charge for drinks only. A reusable cup is required for refreshments (no cups provided at our refreshment points).
